Terms and conditions for postnord's apps and websites
These terms apply to PostNord's apps and websites (collectively referred to as "Services") that reference these terms. PostNord Group AB, org. no. 556128-6559, provides the apps and websites to the customer ("Customer") free of charge. The company is hereinafter referred to as "PostNord." The Customer can be an individual, a company, or another organization.
Effective from 10 March 2025
These terms are applicable to all use of the Services, except for functions or services ordered or made available through the Services, such as the purchase of postcards in the Riktiga Vykort app. These functions and services are governed by separate terms provided at the time of order/purchase. For clarity, customer agreements, credit agreements, distance contract terms, and other terms and agreements with a company within the PostNord group for services and/or products take precedence over these terms.
1. Customer's obligations
The Customer shall comply with and apply recommendations and instructions from PostNord from time to time. Such recommendations and instructions are provided through and in the Services or another digital channel.
To use the Services, the Customer must have the necessary equipment, software, and internet capacity, which may require updates from time to time. The Customer is responsible for internet fees and other data traffic charges that may arise from using the Services. For optimal use, the Customer needs to be logged in with a PostNord account (the PostNord account is governed by separate terms).
2. Postnord's obligations
The Services are normally available every day except during maintenance and upgrade windows. The scope of the Services may vary from time to time. PostNord does not guarantee that the Services will be provided without problems, errors, or delays.
If the Services do not function as intended, the Customer can report this to PostNord via the relevant functionality in the Services or through PostNord's customer service. PostNord will address the issue in the manner and time that PostNord deems practical in each individual case.
3. Scope and changes
PostNord has the right to update and upgrade the Services with new functionality without informing the Customer unless otherwise required by law. However, PostNord will strive to share information about such updates and upgrades that are relevant from time to time.
PostNord has the right to change the Services for technical reasons, such as information security, capacity, scripts, or applications.
The applicable terms for the Services will always be published. The Customer acknowledges and agrees that PostNord has the right to change the terms from time to time during the contract period. If the change is likely to be materially disadvantageous to the Customer, PostNord will notify the Customer at least fifteen (15) days before the change takes effect. However, any changes due to applicable legislation, regulation, or authority shall take effect immediately.
The Customer is always responsible for staying informed about the current terms. If the Customer does not accept a change, the Customer has the right to terminate the use. The Customer's continued use of the Services after the change in terms has taken effect shall be considered acceptance of the change.
4. Permitted use
The Customer is granted the right to download, install, and use the Services on a mobile phone, tablet, or other intended device (collectively referred to as devices) to the extent required for the Customer's use of the Services in accordance with these terms. The Customer may not, except as required by mandatory law, terms, or license terms regarding any components based on open source, attempt to copy, decompile, deconstruct, disassemble, derive the code, decrypt, modify, or create derivative products.
The use of all or parts of the Services may require the Customer to accept additional specific terms and/or register in some form with PostNord and thereby accept the terms provided.
By using the Services, the Customer agrees that PostNord, in accordance with the terms, registers and compiles the information that the Customer enters or that is generated via the Services.
5. Positioning
For certain functions in the Services to work fully, the device's position data may be needed.
6. Maintenance and limitations in the services
PostNord reserves the right to update, upgrade, change, temporarily or permanently limit, or shut down the Services or access to the Services at any time without liability or compensation obligation. PostNord undertakes no obligations to provide any form of support or maintenance of the Services beyond what may be required by mandatory consumer protection legislation.
7. Intellectual property rights
PostNord or its licensors own all intellectual property rights to the content of the Services, including its underlying technology and software. Nothing in these terms shall be interpreted or understood as PostNord granting any intellectual property rights to the Customer, except as stated in these terms.
The Customer may only access material and information in the Services, including trademarks, graphics, logos, button icons, images, software (object code), in the manner provided through the Services.
8. Contract period
The Customer has the right to terminate and end their use of the Services at any time. If the Customer wishes to terminate an app, the Customer should delete it.
PostNord has the right, at its discretion, to immediately suspend or temporarily block the Customer's right to use the Services in any of the following cases:
- The Customer uses the Services in violation of the terms and purpose herein.
- There are reasonable grounds to suspect that the Services will be misused, used incorrectly, or used for reasons other than those stated herein.
- There are reasonable grounds to suspect that the Customer will not fulfill their obligations to PostNord.
- The Customer violates laws or regulations.
- There is other reasonable suspicion of improper handling.
9. Liability
Unless otherwise prescribed by mandatory consumer protection legislation, the following liability limitations apply.
The Services are provided as-is, and PostNord disclaims all express or implied warranties.
PostNord shall not be liable for indirect damage or loss arising in connection with the Customer's use of the Services. Therefore, PostNord is not responsible for any damage or loss caused by (but not limited to) any of the following:
- The Services are not available, do not function, or suffer from errors, incidents, or problems.
- The Services have been blocked for the Customer on incorrect grounds or reasons.
- There are deficiencies or errors in the information shared in the Services.
Any claims against PostNord must be made within one year from the actual incident. PostNord's maximum liability is limited to 50,000 SEK. PostNord shall not be held liable to the extent that an error or delay is caused by unforeseeable events or circumstances beyond PostNord's control.
10. Personal data
When PostNord processes personal data within the framework of these Services, PostNord is considered the data controller according to applicable data protection legislation.
For more information about PostNord's processing of personal data and the rights of the data subject whose data is processed, see PostNord's Privacy Notice at www.postnord.se/integritetspolicy.
11. Right of withdrawal
The Customer understands that there is no right of withdrawal for the Services once they have been downloaded and/or started to be used. It is always possible to uninstall an app, and PostNord will thereafter not actively use cookies or personal data collected.
12. Law
Swedish law applies to the use of the Services and the application of these terms. However, if the customer is a consumer and resides in another country within the EEA, that law shall apply if it provides the customer with better protection.
13. Dispute
In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve it through a voluntary agreement. For assistance in resolving the dispute at the local level, a consumer can contact the municipal consumer advisors. If the parties cannot agree, the dispute can be examined by the National Board for Consumer Disputes, ARN, (www.arn.se), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm.
